Admission Notification for one year term 'Specialized Masters' or Masters (Professional) Program in Fall Semester (2021-2022) under the Department of Social Work, Jagannath University (JnU). This Professional Masters course is offering admission for the fifth time for eligible and deserving students/candidates.

The department offers mainly three types of Masters Degrees i.e., 1) MSS in Criminology and Correctional Services (Professional), 2) MSS in Human Rights and Social Justice (Professional), 3) MSS in Industrial Relations and Labour Welfare (Professional).

Condition/Eligibility to apply

Must have a four-year bachelor's degree/equivalent or postgraduate degree in any subject. At least 2nd class with a CGPA of 2.25).

Collection and submission of application form

During the office hours (including Friday and Saturday) from 22nd February to 23rd March 2022, the application form should be collected from the office of the department and then submit the application form along with the application fee of Taka 1000.

Or, You have to download the application form from the JnU Website, and then have to send money to Taka 1020 through bkash 01791583450. Finally, you must send the necessary documents through courier or e-mail the scanned docs by e-mail.

Documents needed for admission:

1. Payment receipt
2. Copy of SSC, HSC, Honours/equivalent of Master's Certificate and Marksheets
3. A copy of your NID
4. 2 copies of your recent Passport and Stamp sized photo

Course Info:

1. One-year professional course including two semesters
2. Total 40 credits within two semesters, including 10 courses where 5 theoretical courses in the 1st semester and 2 theoretical and practical research, fieldwork and a viva-voce in the last (2nd) semester.
3. This program will cost you around 60K (60 thousand Taka) whereas 30K in the 1st semester and 30K in the 2nd semester.

Admission Schedule:

1. Admission test: 25th March 2022, Friday, 3.00 pm
2. Announcement of results: Friday, 25th March 2022, at 7.30 pm
3. Date of Admission: 27th March 2022 to 31st April 2022
4. Class starts: 1st April 2022
5. Weekly classes: Friday and Saturday (From 9am-)
